Link types
Every calendar has several links. Find them in Share.
| Link | Looks like | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Edit link | pastecal.com/<name> | Anyone with it can view and edit. Share it only with people who help run the calendar. |
| View-only link | pastecal.com/view/<id> | People can view but not edit. They see every change. You can rename it. |
| This view | Any link plus ?date=YYYY-MM-DD&view=day|week|month|year|agenda | Opens on a date and view. For a custom range use &view=custom&dur=3&unit=weeks|months. Example: ?date=2026-03-01&view=custom&dur=3&unit=weeks |
| Calendar feed | pastecal.com/view/<id>.ics | Shows events in Google, Apple or Outlook calendar. View only. Google refreshes every few hours. |
| Feed with edit access | Feed made from the edit link | Same as the feed, but it carries the edit link. |
| Embed | <iframe> snippet | Puts the calendar on a website. Uses the view-only link. |
Careful: a feed with edit access contains your edit link. Anyone who gets the feed can edit. Use the plain feed unless you need it.

- Calendars are unlisted: they don't appear in any directory.
- Edit links are kept out of search engines.
- Only people with a link can open a calendar. For a private one, pick a hard-to-guess name.
- To stop anyone else from editing, Pro locks editing to you and the people you choose.
